Watching the Cardinals game right now. My team totally rocks. They are battling injuries from their starting right and left fielders and their third baseman and their catcher. Yes, that is half of the starting position players. And they have still won 6 of the 9 games since the All-Star break. That's just nuts. Just goes to show you how the Cardinals have one of the best and well-rounded teams in the game. Their bench players come in and get the job done. These guys have simply been on fire.
MLB has started something called MLBlogs, where fans can write a blog about baseball and your team, and they will publicize it for you. And many fans can read your thoughts on baseball and certain teams and leave comments back. And I thought to myself, what an awesome idea, but then I saw that it would cost $5 a month or $50 for the year. Yeah not that great of an idea anymore, at least not to me. I'm not gonna pay money to leave my two cents about the Cardinals. I do that anyway.
Wednesday was Warped Tour, which was totally awesome. Relient K totally rocked. Definately the best concert there, in my opinion. Fall Out Boy was fun too, but full of middle schoolers. I felt so old there. About 98% of all the people there were 18 or younger. True, that's only about 3 years younger than me, but there is a big difference in maturity level between high school college students.
So I got to see Katie Thursday night and then not again until next Monday. That means we will go the longest we have gone without seeing each other since I met her. She has Science Olympiad camp this week. She has been having fun so far, which is awesome. She loves those kids, which makes it all worth while. They love her too, which is totally understandable. They have given her a few nicknames already as well, one of which was Head Nerd. That's hot.
I got to see Jesseca on Friday, which was awesome. She brought her brother and her brother's friend who is interested in Rose with her. It was a good time. We went to see Wedding Crashers and then hit the ever traditional IHOP. Sami met us there. Since we had a couple kids coming to visit, we had to give them a taste of a Rose weekend. Good times...
Hehe, I love Family Guy and That 70's Show. Rather entertaining.
Well, it's getting kinda late here, so I will leave you with some Relient K in honor of Warped Tour. Rock on.
I feel like, I would like
To be somewhere else doing something that matters
And I'll admit here, while I sit here
My mind wastes away and my doubts start to gather
Whats the purpose? It feels worthless
So unwanted like I've lost all my value
I can't find it, not in the least bit
and I'm just scared, so scared that I'll fail you
And sometimes I think that I'm not any good at all
And sometimes I wonder why, why I'm even here at all
But then you assure me
I'm a little more than useless
And when I think that I can't do this
You promise me that I'll get through this
And do something right
Do something right for once
So I say if I can't, do something significant
I'll opt to leave most opportunities wasted
And nothing trival, that life could give me will
Measure up to what might have replaced it
Too late look, my date book
Is packed full of days that were empty and now gone
And I bet, that regret
Will prove to get me to improve in the long run
And sometimes I think that I'm not any good at all
And sometimes I wonder why, why I'm even here at all
But then you assure me
I'm a little more than useless
And when I think that I can't do this
You promise me that I'll get through this
And do something right
Do something right for once
I’m a little more than useless
And I never knew I knew this
Was gonna the day, gonna be the day
That I would do something right
Do something right for once
I notice, I know this
Week is a symbol of how I use my time
Resent it, I spent it
Convincing myself the world's doing just fine
Without me
Doing anything of any consequence
Without me
Showing any sign of ever making sense
Of my time , it's my life
And my right, to use it like I should
Like he would, for the good
Of everything that I would ever know
I'm a little more than useless
When I think that I can't do this
You promise me that I'll get through this
And do something right
Do something right for once
I’m a little more than useless
And I never knew I knew this
Was gonna the day, gonna be the day
That I would do something right
Do something right for once

Short Skirt/Long Jacket on a Sunday Night
So I am here sitting in Katie's room blogging. Katie is taking a nap, so I figured seemed like as good of a time as any to blog.
Met her dad this morning. Seems like a pretty cool guy. She told me that he was very intimidating to all other guys she has dated. I don't know, he wasn't that intimidating. Not any more than just being her dad made it. Dodged the "So why aren't you going to Rose any more question" pretty well. I didn't need to sound like a failure when I had just met the guy. The financial situation was a good enough reason for him. We went to IHOP for breakfast. I was not very hungry at all. I think that's the first time I have been to IHOP and not been hungry. But I really wasn't at all, but I ordered food anyway. I didn't want to look like a dork and just sit there as Katie and her dad ate. I didn't want to make them feel awkward or anything. So I am now stuffed beyond belief. IHOP doesn't really have any small meals at all.
If you need a good laugh, read Mahoney's blog. He seems to take the all the excitement. He has had such an interesting week, he made up for the rest of TSAV just having the most boring and long week ever.
Church was interesting. We went to catholic mass, which is rather different from my church. I was confused a lot of the time. It was very very ritualistic. But I found that even through all that ritual that I knew nothing about, I could still worship, which was nice. I liked how there seemed to be more respect for the worship and more of a reverence there, but I really like more music at church and not just old hymns. The sermon was also interesting. I didn't totally agree with him, but I do think that denominations spend too much time fighting between themselves and need to realize, that we all believe basically the same and we are all Christians, none better than another. Which he really pushed in the sermon, but then I got the opposite feel when it came to communion. See, if you are not catholic, you are not allowed to take communion. I felt rather insulted by it. I believe the same basic things and have the same reverence towards this ritual, but because I am not catholic, I'm not good enough to partake in it. Now in the Baptist church, we call all believers. No matter what denomination, communion is a celebration of what Christ did, and there is no need to worry about the little things, and we can celebrate communion together. But not in a catholic church and I felt insulted.
Well, I'll leave you with some classic Cake. Great stuff.
I want a girl with a mind like a diamond
I want a girl who knows what's best
I want a girl with shoes that cut
And eyes that burn like cigarettes
I want a girl with the right allocations
Who's fast and thorough
And sharp as a tack
She's playing with her jewelry
She's putting up her hair
She's touring the facility
And picking up slack
I want a girl with a short skirt and a lonnnng jacket......
I want a girl who gets up early
I want a girl who stays up late
I want a girl with uninterrupted prosperity
Who used a machette to cut through red tape
With fingernails that shine like justice
And a voice that is dark like tinted glass
She is fast and thorough
And sharp as a tack
She's touring the facility
And picking up slack
I want a girl with a short skirt and a lonnnnng.... lonnng jacket
I want a girl with a smooth liquidation
I want a girl with good dividends
And at the city bank we will meet accidentally
We'll start to talk when she borrows my pen
She wants a car with a cupholder arm rest
She wants a car that will get her there
She's changing her name from Kitty to Karen
She's trading her MG for a white Chrysler La Baron
I want a girl with a short skirt and a lonnnnggggggggg jacket

Mood Rings on a Friday Afternoon
I just feel underused here. Like they don't realize what I am capable of doing, so they are afraid to assign me stuff. I whip through programs pretty fast and without any errors. They fly through QA because I had already made sure it was as it needed to be. But they don't assign me anything. WTF?
I love Bander's post from a few days back. There are some good points there that I think many girls don't get. And in case you think I am singling any one out, I'm not at all. I say girls, as in girls in general. If you don't think you have a problem with a lot of them, you might not, but your gender as a whole does. For more guy rules see an old post of mine.
Well not much more right now, so I will leave you with some old, but hilarious Relient K. I know I have posted these lyrics before, but they still crack me up. Please no one take offense to these as chances are they are not talking about you. However, ironically enough, if you take offense, maybe you are one of those girls. Let me know, I'll order you a mood ring.
we all know the girls that i am talking about
well they are time bombs and they are ticking
and the only question's when they'll blow up
and they'll blow up; we know that without a doubt
cause they're those girls, yeah you know those girls that let their emotions get the best of them
and i've contrived some sort of a plan to help my fellow man
let's get emotional girls to all wear mood rings
so we'll be tipped off to when they're ticked off
cause we'll know just what they're thinking
cause what they're thinking...
she's so pretty but she but doesn't always act that way
her mood's out swinging on the swing set almost every day
she said to me that she's so happy it's depressing
and all i said was "someone get that girl a mood ring"
if it's drama you want then look no further
they're like the real world meets boy meets world meets days of our lives
and it just kills me how they get away with murder
they'll anger you then bat their eyes; those pretty eyes that watch you sympathize
and i've contrived some sort of a plan to help my fellow man
let's get emotional girls to all wear mood rings
so we'll be tipped off to when they're ticked off
cause we'll know just what they're thinking
cause what they're thinking...
she's so pretty but she but doesn't always act that way
her mood's out swinging on the swing set almost every day
she said to me that she's so stressed out that it's soothing
and all i said was "someone get that girl a mood ring"
cause when it's black (it) means watch your back because you're probably
the last person in the world right now she wants to see
and when it's blue it means that you should call her up immediately
and ask her out because she'll most likely agree
and when it's green it simply means that she is really stressed
and when it's clear it means she's completely emotionless (and that's all right i must confess)
we all know the girls that i am talking about
she liked you wednesday but now it's friday and she has to wash her hair
and it just figures that we'll never figure them out
first she's jekyll and then she's hyde....at least she makes a lovely pair
mood ring oh mood ring
oh tell me will you bring
the key to unlock this mystery
of girls and their emotions
play it back in slow motion
so i may understand the complex infrastructure known as the female mind

I'll Be on a Thursday Night
John: Who did it?
Bob: (points to Tom)
Tom: No I didn't.
Bob: You started it.
Tom: Yes, I used my 1337 h4x0r ski11s and totally pwned columbia house's 4$$.
So I was blogging at work, probably not the best idea, but they won't give me anything to do except wehn someone has a Java question, I answer it. So I get bored. And so I blog. But in the middle of my post, the window starts flashing and Firefox totally flips out. Then everything starts dying and shutting itself down. And completely logs off. Now originally I thought, uh oh, they caught me blogging at work and shut my computer down, I was gonna get a nasty email about this one. But it had just happened to Tom apparently, just a few minutes before it happened to me. So I thought to myself, thats weird, and went to find Tom to let him know it had happened to me too. There he was with the project manager who flips out about things like this, so I was hesitant to bring it up. Until they started giving Tom crap about his computer supposedly shutting itself down, as it were possible. So I told them it happened to me too. They then realized wow, maybe its true. Just then Samuel, the project manager, looked over at his computer and it's doing the same. Whew, must not be because of something I had up on my computer. But this was getting weird. Several people started coming out of their offices because their computer had just shut down too. I looked down the hallway and could see computers randomly beginning the shut down sequence. Then Stacy got a call that the A-frame in the warehouse was shutting itslef down. Now it was serious and people we worried that Servers might try to do the same and screw up orders and such in the process. We're still not sure what exactly happened but it gave quite the scare.
I'm a little pissed that I lost the blog post I had before. I wasn't able to recover squat. I had even saved it as a draft and nothing. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I'll try to remember as much as I can of it.
What's greater than the All-Star game and the Home Run Derby during the All-Star break? Reviewing and analyzing the first half of the season. Every sports writer in the nation wants to put their two cents in. Even MSNBC has their predictions. (Thanks Cat.) And everyone I have seen have picked the Cardinals to win it all. Finally. Finally people have started realizing that the Cardinals are for real. Last year at this time, my Cardinals were absolutely dominating and they were writing them off and didn't expect them to make it to the post season, and if they did, out in 3 games. The beginning of this year, they were supposedly "weaker" than the previous year and would be a shock to win the division. Now that the Cardinals have a monsterous eleven and half game lead and the best record in the league, people are finally beginning to take notice. This team might actually be pretty decent. No shit. Albert Pujols, putting up another outstanding year, as he has for the past four years, every year he's been in the Majors, when he finished second in the MVP race to Barry Bonds (who deserves the silver slugger award, but his bat is all he is), they are now thinking, hey maybe this guy has MVP worthy stuff. Huh, imagine that. Maybe if people had really paid attention this entire time, this wouldn't be so shocking. You could be watching history in the making. With Rolen back, I see a move on the record the Mariners made in 97, with 116 wins. Complete that with a World Series win, maybe people will take my Cardinals seriously. Hey, a guy can hope, can't he? But maybe that's one reason they do so well. They are still underestimated drastically. We'll see.
I love FoxTrot. Such a great comic strip. I can relate to many of the characters a lot. Jason appeals to the geek in me and Peter very much the sports fanatic in me. And their competitiveness is so much like my brothers and me. I can very much see us doing this. We were competitive about the stupidest things sometimes too. And we would end up mad because either someone must have cheated since they won, or mad because everyone is a sore loser because we won. It must have been annoying to deal with, so I'm sorry, Mom and Dad. It's all Dad's fault anyway. He gave us the competitive gene and we just fed off each other so it multiplied. I can still be rather competitive, but only when someone else is. If the other person doesn't care, neither do I, but when someone in the group, anyone does, it's on, bring it. I hope my kids aren't too competitive. Maybe I'll just have one...
Rather enjoying this Nelly CD I bought yesterday. I love the C-House employee store. I get CDs for $3 apiece and DVDs for $7 and boxed sets for either $7 or 14. I bought the entire Matrix trilogy and the Animatrix and the Matrix Experience. All for $14. And then the Phantom of the Opera for another $7. What combination: Matrix, Phantom and Nelly.
It was nice to see Cat tonight, if only for a few minutes.
So the power went out. And it was kinda scary with the house so dark and such and police flying down our street and stopping at the neighbors down the street. They yelled at us when we came out of the house, so we'll just stay here. And lock all doors, and anything else that can be locked. Maybe I should keep a baseball bat by my bed. Maybe not.
I get to see my Kate tomorrow. I am really happy about that. She is cutting my hair too, which will be very nice. It was really nice to talk to her tonight. She can really soothe my moods, and just feel like I am truly special in this world. It's quite an awesome feeling. I can't wait to see her and go up to her home and spend a weekend with her. I'm nervous about meeting her dad. She's nervous about it too, which doesn't help. I'll also be meeting her ex-boyfriend's mother, who Kate is still good friends with. I am so afraid that it will be really awkward, and I am therefor very nervous about meeting her. Wish me luck with it all. On the other side I am excited to go up there with her again. I am so glad her mom likes me. I think that probably matters the most. I want so much for everything to work.
Well, I need to get some sleep, but I will leave you with some Edwin McCain that has been stuck in my head all day. It's all your fault Katie. But I love you.
The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful
Stop me and steal my breath
Emeralds from mountains thrust toward the sky
Never revealing their depth
Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated
I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above
I'll be your crying shoulder
I'll be love's suicide
I'll be better when I'm older
I'll be the greatest fan of your life
Rain falls angry on the tin roof
As we lie awake in my bed
You're my survival, you're my living proof
My love is alive not dead
Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache, that hang from above
I've been dropped out, burned up, fought my way back from the dead
Tuned in, turned on, Remembered the things that you said
Bob: (points to Tom)
Tom: No I didn't.
Bob: You started it.
Tom: Yes, I used my 1337 h4x0r ski11s and totally pwned columbia house's 4$$.

Well, I need to get some sleep, but I will leave you with some Edwin McCain that has been stuck in my head all day. It's all your fault Katie. But I love you.
The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful
Stop me and steal my breath
Emeralds from mountains thrust toward the sky
Never revealing their depth
Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated
I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above
I'll be your crying shoulder
I'll be love's suicide
I'll be better when I'm older
I'll be the greatest fan of your life
Rain falls angry on the tin roof
As we lie awake in my bed
You're my survival, you're my living proof
My love is alive not dead
Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache, that hang from above
I've been dropped out, burned up, fought my way back from the dead
Tuned in, turned on, Remembered the things that you said

Let It All Out on a Tuesday Night
They tried to take her, but I wouldn't let them. I knew how sad Jesseca would be if she were gone, and we just couldn't have that. It may be written in the stars for me to lose her soon, after Mike's incident, but I can fight, can't I?
In case you couldn't tell, I was tlaking about my car. Yes this huge friggin Escalade tried to take me out this morning on my way to work. As I was coming up to pass a semi, who was camping out in the left lane, an Escalade decides to pass this semi as well, however I was already right beside this Escalade. Yup, thats right, another car trying to change lanes through me. However I had already been in the situation and was not going to let this car take my Jesseca-loving Saturn. So I hit the brakes and swerve to the right. Luckily there was a little extra room to the right for me to be until he passes me, but because of how hard it was raining, I proceed to spin until I had done a complete 180 and was now facing the cars that were once behind me. The car behind me didn't think to even slow down and was now just a few feet from my front bumper. Yes, we were front bumper to front bumper, looking like a game of chicken at that last second, frozen in time but sliding at about 30 mph or so. I looked over to my right to see a car speeding up, probably hoping to pass that semi as well, leaving me with no where to go. I looked back to see where I was sliding now, letting off the brakes and just coasting with the clutch down, as I could not afford to let the brakes suddenly catch and ram into the car "behind" me. I saw the big entrance to Rural King completely empty, so looking back I steered myself into the entrance before breathing nice sigh of relief. I just sat there for a while and took in all that had just happened. Wow, I can't believe I pulled that off. Then someone honked at me from behind to get going. A nice Terre Haute flip and I was off. I hate Hautian drivers.
So this weekend was awesome. We really didn't do much, just hung around the house. On Saturday we went bowling. Man did I miss that. I really need to go more often. I bowled a 175 and a 199. Not too bad. I think we as TSAV should join a bowling league or something. It would be fun, and we have the perfect number for it. And even if you aren't very good, it doesn't matter, because leagues have handicaps. So it's all about bowling pretty good for you, and improving. It's a fun time. I miss being in a bowling league.
Kate came up for the weekend as well as Mahoney. It's about time Mahoney comes to see us when there isn't a party. It was a good time. I love how I can hang out with my closest friends and my Kate at the same time. When they like her and she likes them, it just makes life that much easier. Then there isn't as much balancing of friends and girlfriend, as you can sometimes have both, and it's really nice.
I rather like how my life has been going lately. I smile a lot and just enjoy life. This really has been a good summer for me.
I hate this rain though, it needs to leave. We do need the rain, I just want to have to drive in it. But I guess you can't have everything, right?
Been working on some questions for some people. I apologize for those who have been waiting so long for questions or answers to your own questions.
Stephanie:
1. Girls can drive me nuts sometimes as I am sure guys can drive you nuts. What is it about us that drives you nuts? Why do you think that is?
2. "Word to your mother" is kind of a signature for me as people immediately think of me when they hear it. What would you say is your signature?
3. The best way for me to relieve stress is to throw a baseball as hard as I can, preferably pitching to someone. What works best for you? How does it make you feel? Why do you think that is?
4. Computer are said to be the future of everything. How do you see it most affecting your field of Interior Design and how will you handle it?
5. Describe to me your dream house. How far in the future is it? Are you married? Rich? Have Kids? Where is this house? What does it look like?
Sami:
1. You have a week to see the world, anything you want, money is not an issue. What do you see? Keep in mind travel time in between. The week begins when you arrive at your first destination and you must get on a flight to come back home exactly a week later. What/who do you bring with you?
2. I may not be the best eugoogolizer, but what would you hope was said in your eugoogoly? (If you haven't seen Zoolander, let me know and I'll translate) Do you want it to be packed, or just your close family and friends?
3. You are written about in Time magazine for one of the greatest discoveries/inventions of your time. What is it? How long did it take you to come up with? Does it make you rich or just simply help humanity?
4. What musical/play do you wish most you could be in? What part would you want? What has drawn you to this part? How long have you wanted it? If you had a different range, would that change your selection?
5. Say TSAV comes out with a "Girls of TSAV" calendar. What month would you want? Why? What would you wear for this photo shoot? What look would you want to go for? Or would you even want to do it in the first place if asked?
Ok now on to answering Adam and Steph:
Adam's Questions
1. What do you see the TSAV movie being, who would be cast, and what would the catch phrase be.
It begins with college graduation and a big party at the TSAV house. With glasses raised, a toast is made to two awesome years together. A promise is made, through the seal of a Boone's Farm race, to meet up every year, no matter how their lives change and no matter where life takes them, for a TSAV reunion. This is the story of four men, starring Luke Wilson as Bob "Word to Your Mother" Prescott, Jack Black as Adam "the Rabbi" Reynolds, Will Ferrell as Mike "Mahone-Dizzle" Mahoney, and Vince Vaughn as Nick "Quail F@%#er" Slabaugh, with special appearances by Owen Wilson as Kevin "Weed" Reed and Ben Stiller as Elliot "the Left-handed Jew" Goodman, with a bond that can't be broken through marriages, through rough times, through the beginning of new lives, till death do they part. TSAV is more than a house, more than a collection of cars, more than a 3:1 ratio for stability, but a bond of brothers fighting to make it in this world.
2. You asked me why hockey was so great, so why isn't hockey as good as baseball in your opinion?
One of the biggest things I love about baseball is the strategy. Your mind has to be completely in the game at all times and you have to know exactly what the situation is at all times, how many men are on base, who they are, how many outs...etc. It is also one of the most team centered sports around. Having one amazing hitter doesn't mean jack if you don't have others in the lineup around him. Having an awesome fielder doesn't mean much unless hitters don't want to hit it to other parts of the field as well. One good starter only does you good one out of every five games. But you need those that will work well together for the better of the team. And when they work together like that, you don't need any stars but a few good players that mold into a team. Not to mention, what other sport can you have just a couple people, and very little equipment and have a nice relaxing game of catch (or the equivalent for other sports)?
3. Who has infulenced you the most in your life, how and why?
My big sister, Amanda. Growing up she was someone I always looked up to and loved. She helped me develop my taste in music, showed me the Cardinals, and simply showed me how to live life to the fullest. She was a great example on how to live and was my biggest role model growing up.
4. What is your one big regret, and how would you go back and change it if you could?
I think my biggest regret is not forming the study habits that my little brother Danny did when he was in high school. In high school I never really challenged myself and got lazy. I should have taken all honors courses and pushed myself to do what I know I can. The thing that drives me nuts the most is not to fail, but to fail when I know I could have excelled.
5. If you had to pick a programming language that described you what language would it be and why?
Hmmm, this is tough because I only know two languages: Java and QBASIC. Between those two I would have to say Java because it is a higher level language. I am a pretty simple guy, but there is a lot more that goes on behind the scenes than meets the eye.
Steph's Questions
1. What has been your greatest accomplishment so far in your life?
Um, well first of all, I'm only 20, so I haven't really had any big accomplishments. But I have been proud of being able to keep trucking, no matter what life throws at me. Things have not always gone perfect or even the best for me, but I keep my head up and keep moving on.
2. (High school question) Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Well, let's see, I'll be 30 with a hopefully pretty steady job. I see myself married to an awesome woman, absolutely in love, with probably a couple of kids. I want kids when I'm still young enough to play baseball with them, but I do want at least a couple years of just me and my wife before we start having kids. I see myslef making pretty decent money to be able to provide a nice life for my family. And of course, I see my TSAV bros at least once a year and stay in good contact with them.
3. If you only had one more day left to live, what would you do?
See everyone in my life that I love and make sure they all know how much I love them. I would do the things that I love to do with the people I love. I would probably need to play catch as by then end I would probably be rather upset to leaving so soon. I would hold those dearest to me and try to assure them that everything would be alright. And I would probably do everything in my power to fight it, to make it not come true.
4. Why do you love the Cardinals so much?
First of all see my answer to Adam's question #2. I first liked the Cardinals because they were the baseball team in St. Louis. But I grew to love them because of their awesome team mentality and even when individuals are having the season of their life, they are all more concerned with the team result. Scott Rolen, Albert Pujols and Jim Edmonds were all having amazing MVP caliber years, but refused to do a photo shoot for ESPN magazine unless they shot all of them. And even then it had to be private so as to not distract from the team. Tony LaRussa refused to talk about contract extensions until his players were taken care of. The Cardinals wanted to offer him more money and extend his contract, but he would not have it until his players that were looking at the end of their contracts were dealt with. Then if the Cardinals still had that money to offer him, he would then talk contract extensions. The entire team has so much more of a team mentality than any other team I have ever seen, and the St. Louis fans love them for it.
5. Who has been the most influential person in your life?
See Adam's question #3.
So there you go. Whew. Anyone else that wants to be interviewed, leave me a comment, but I promise they will be tough and they may take a little while to get back to ya, so please be patient.
In other news, we don't have internet at the house apparently. This is very grrrrrsome. There were things I really wanted to do on the internet that I can't. However, my girl is so awesome and actually did some of that for me. Did I ever tell you she's awesome. It will be even better if I win that Corvette. Then TSAV could become Three Small cars and A Vette. That would be hot. To bad I'd never be able to afford the insurance...
Well, I think I will leave you with some Relient K. Enjoy.
Let it all out
get it all out
rip it out remove it
don't be alarmed
when the wound begins to bleed
cause we're so scared to find out
what this life's all about
so scared we're going to lose it
not knowing all along
that's exactly what we need
and today I will trust you with confidence
of a man who's never known defeat
but tomorrow, upon hearing what I did
I will stare at you in disbelief
oh, inconsistent me
crying out for consistency
and you said I know that this will hurt
but if I don't break your heart then things will just get worse
If the burden seems too much to bear
Remember
the end will justify the pain it took to get us there
and I'll let it be known
at times I have shown
signs of all my weakness
but somewhere in me
there is strength
and you promise me
that you believe
in time I will defeat this
cause somewhere in me
there is strength
and today I will trust you with the confidence
of a man who's never known defeat
and I'll try my best to just forget
that that man isn't me
reach out to me
make my heart brand new
every beat will be for you
for you
and I know you know
you touched my life
when you touched my heavy heart and made it light
In case you couldn't tell, I was tlaking about my car. Yes this huge friggin Escalade tried to take me out this morning on my way to work. Starry-Eyed Surprise on a Thursday Night
"They don't have to be blue. They are perfect as they are."
This weekend was awesome. I had a great time, and it was aweomse seeing all those people again. IHOP trips with a party of twelve at one AM, that's the way summer was meant to be.
Work kinda wears me out. I don't know why. I don't really do anything. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.
My dad needs to start a blog. I think it would be interesting to see what he has to say. And he needs to comment on my blog too. I am really interested to hear his thoughts on things. And it's not like it's a secret that he reads. Dad, you reading this? You taking a hint??
So last night I drove down to the B-town because I knew how much Katie had been stressing about her Organic Chemistry test, so I thought I may surprise her. So I had her cal me as soon as she got out of her test so I could tell her, "...oh by the way, I'm here in Bloomington, where are you?" We didn't really do anything but just lay on her floor and talk. I love just talking to her and just being with her. We don't have to do anything special, just be together. It's a nice feeling.
Finally got the pictures from our trip to St Louis back. Why do I take such horrible pictures? It is very grrrsome. All I want is a good picture of Katie and I. Is that asking too much?
Played some Ultimate tonight. It was a good time. There were a lot of people there. So much, that we split into two games. It was good times.
I'm rather tired so I think I will leave you with some Paul Oakenfold that has been stuck in my head for a while.
Once again
I found myself with my friends
Dancin the night away
It’s like the party never ends
Then again, we don’t want it to stop
‘Cause tonight’s the night
It goes sweat box, laser beam, flashin lights
Wild cards, men from Mars
Dressed in stars and stripes
Eclectic Electric
Ladies at the evenin
Drinkin booze and mingilin
Mashin through the music
I can do anything
Freaky deaky, star speckles and pink butterflies
And life is nice, so nice
I walk into a club and I found paradise
I’m seein stars, I can’t believe my eyes
I’m seein stars
Oh my, starry eyed surprise
Sun down to sun rise
Dance all night
We gonna dance all night
Dance all night to this DJ
Now sugar, dance all night to this DJ
Now the record always spills on the trails we blazed
The walls are closin in, but that’s ok
‘Cause I been waitin all week to feel this way
And it feels so good, so good
I’m on top of the world
The coolest kid in the neighborhood
So let me be a sparkle one night, that’s right
Sweat box, laser beam, flashin lights
You got to
Feel the rush, feel the spice of life
Thug life
Shifty rolls the dice
Snake eyed surprise
Izing, mesmerizin
The mic, the sick ones
‘Cause what we are are victims of fun
C’mon, c’mon, the fun has just begun
C’mon, the fun has just begun

It’s like the party never ends
Then again, we don’t want it to stop
‘Cause tonight’s the night
It goes sweat box, laser beam, flashin lights
Wild cards, men from Mars
Dressed in stars and stripes
Eclectic Electric
Ladies at the evenin
Drinkin booze and mingilin
Mashin through the music
I can do anything
Freaky deaky, star speckles and pink butterflies
And life is nice, so nice
I walk into a club and I found paradise
I’m seein stars, I can’t believe my eyes
I’m seein stars
Oh my, starry eyed surprise
Sun down to sun rise
Dance all night
We gonna dance all night
Dance all night to this DJ
Now sugar, dance all night to this DJ
Now the record always spills on the trails we blazed
The walls are closin in, but that’s ok
‘Cause I been waitin all week to feel this way
And it feels so good, so good
I’m on top of the world
The coolest kid in the neighborhood
So let me be a sparkle one night, that’s right
Sweat box, laser beam, flashin lights
You got to
Feel the rush, feel the spice of life
Thug life
Shifty rolls the dice
Snake eyed surprise
Izing, mesmerizin
The mic, the sick ones
‘Cause what we are are victims of fun
C’mon, c’mon, the fun has just begun
C’mon, the fun has just begun

High of 75 on a Saturday Afternoon
Oh what a beautiful day. A couple clouds, temperature in the high 70s, just plain gorgeous. Nick and I went out to the IM fields at Rose to play some catch. It was awesome. I haven't played a good game of catch to the point that it was near a good workout in a long time. The grass was awesome. They are preparing for Colts Training camp. I am rather jealous. I just flipped off my sandals and ran barefoot. It never felt better to run barefoot. This is how summer should be.
God, I am in a good mood right now.
Katie is coming over soon. Our fourth of July BBQ is tomorrow. Should be a good time. I feel so old having a barbecue at my house. Especially asking someone to bring a side dish. Next thing I know I'll be having a Pot Luck social while everyone shows off baby pictures.
Oscar is a great movie. It originated as a play. I would love to do that play. Good times.
Had a controversial statement posted to me earlier, and it pissed me off at first, and apparently a couple other people, but after talking to the person it's all good. But it did cause me and other people to think and discuss the given topic. So once again, the controversy wasn't a bad thing. In fact it caused people to think about something that they might not have thought about otherwise. Sorry I was sooo generic there, but it was to protect the innocent.
Man, I miss baseball. The crack of the mitt today was just awesome, but I miss it.
Not a lot to say right now. So I think I may leave you with some Relient K. Such an awesome band, and never gets old.
We were talking together
I said, "what's up with this weather?"
Don't know whether or not
How sad I just got
'Cause on my own volition.
What if I'm just missing the sun
And tomorrow, I know,
Will be rainy at best.
And the forecast, I know,
Is that I'll be depressed.
But I'll wait outside
Hoping that I'll catch sight of the sun.
Because on and off,
The clouds have fought
Their control over the sky
And lately the weather
Has been so Bi-polar
And Consequently so have I
And now I'm sunny with a High
of 75
Since You took my heavy heart
And made it light
And its funny how you find
You enjoy your life
When you're happy to be alive
And the temperature is freezing
And then, after dark,
There is a cold frost sweeping
In over my heart
And we might break up
If I don't wake up to the sun
Sunny with a High of 75
Since You took my heavy heart
And made it light (made it light)
And its funny how you find
You enjoy your life
When you're happy to be...
Alive
